Donations
We receive a modest grant and other support from Shenstone Parish Council. However, in order to fully maintain and develop the recreation ground, we have to raise money from other sources through our own fundraising efforts. The main ones are as follows:-
Donation Box
We have three donation boxes at the recreation ground and we ask visitors to consider donating a small sum to help us maintain the recreation ground and towards the cost of purchasing new equipment.
Gift Aid
As a registered charity and if you are a taxpayer then it is possible to gift aid your donations enabling us to claim extra money under the government-approved gift aid scheme.

Standing Orders
We have many supporters who donate to us monthly by standing order. For details about how to do this, please email largacommittee@gmail.com.
Events
We have one large event each year called Party in the Park and this is our major fundraiser. From the funds raised at this event we maintain the grounds, pathways and equipment. We also purchase new items of equipment from these funds.
Grant Funding
We are very dependent on grant funding agencies to enable us to develop special projects at the recreation ground. In recent years we were fortunate to receive a grant from the Cory Environmental Trust (Enovert Community Trust) to establish a wildlife educational area. More recently we have received a grant to assist in the purchase and installation of a community defibrillator from the M6 Toll Company.
Gift A Tree and Benches
Unfortunately, we have finished our Gift a Tree scheme as we do not have any more room. We want the existing trees to mature before we consider planting any more.
We have also reached our capacity for benches although do have a couple of spaces for picnic benches in the play area only. These are approximately £850.
